Now, If you are hunting for or ever have hunted for a rental property in London, youl know that private landlords houses go like hot chocolate cake. This left me with the only choice of going through an estate agent.

Our agent at Abode in Clapham was actually very good, helpful, worked very hard to get us the flat we wanted and I was very please with him. The only problem was that we had to pay £150 admin fee each, plus the huge London deposit and a months rent in advance. This left us pretty much skint and we hadnt even moved in yet!

This estate agent was very organised, my agent turned up ontime for the viewing, was able to organise a second viewing quickly for us and was great. He organised all the paperwork, read the contract with us to make sure we understood it, liased with the landlord and worked tirelessly over his birthday weekend. Their office is quite small, and the service was quite personalised compared to some estate agents that Ive been in before.

He also rang us after a few weeks to make sure that everything went ok with the move and to check that the landlord was looking after us.

If you are looking in the Clapham area of SW London then I can totally recommend Abode to find you a good standard of house and a decent landlord. They will charge you for the privelige though!
