Disadvantages: Moving is stressful and I don't want to have to negotiate for the removals service

The sales techniques are extremely questionable. There isn't a price list - you have to negotiate with the sales rep and I got the impression he was valueing the property and contents and working out his quote from that. When I questioned it with the senior management they agreed that all prices were by negotiation and people in the same street could be charged different rates for the same service. More like a dodgy builder than a professional company. Wouldn't use them again.

You will find that ALL removal companies use this technique.....it depends on the time of year you move, if they are quiet and need the business etc.....Get other quotes and barter with them....you will find if they want the job badly enough, they will cut their price!
