Newest Review: ... house for less pennies with someone else. Anyway, B.E were lovely; they'd always been pretty honest when showing me and my bizarre mother around the properties - like the one where she announced with aplomb that it stank of cats which was ironic as there wasn't enough room to swing one, to which Barbara had agreed that it did have an aroma and it wasn't worth the money either which was probably why it had been on the market since the 80s and why the fat inhabitant hadn't even got out of his chair (actually, in retrospect, he was probably hiding the cats under his rolls of flab). Thanks Barbara for your honesty. So, when the flipcha... more

~~*~~*~~ Bairstow Eves ~~*~~*~~ Being in the midst of a real move (the last one only involved buying a house and moving all my stuff in the back of me dad's extra large Volvo) whereby I've had to market the ghetto property, comply with all the ridiculous rules and plan my 'Moving Weekend', I feel that although I may be jinxing the entire sale by writing this review, I've experienced just about enough of the estate agent world to write my ever-so-exciting review. ~*~ I want to move ~*~ Oh, what a mistake. For anyone about to purchase a property, let me impart one piece of advice - buy one you'll want to stay in, Forever. The land of ...  Read the complete review

My experience relates to the Feltham branch of Bairstow Eves. My partner and I had decided that despite all of Hounslow council’s efforts to improve the Feltham you can't improve the people that live there. Anyway, that's a different story… After what was a very accomplished sales pitch I was convinced that Bairstow Eves were the ones who could sell our flat. They told me of their vast marketing offering and their total commitment to selling our flat. They offered us a fixed fee which was better than the set percentage that most agents offer and it all looked rather promising. The valuation seemed reasonable and to all intents and purposes I was expecting a good ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bairstowe Eves: Barking Bairstow Eves - will they get you the best deal? (540 words)

Please beware that each branch is run differently. My experience is specifically related to the Barking Branch! ---- This review reflect the Barking (East London/Essex) branch or Bairstow Eves. This review relates to my experience in 2003 or 2004. I made an initial offer on a lovely flat in Barking. But Bairstow Eves never bothered to call me back. I phoned up and was told that another offer that been accepted. I said HOW?. Why did they not get back to me as it was my first offer. Why did they not phone me and ask me to increase my offer?? I asked them 'is n't the job of the estate agent to get ...  Read the complete review

I would like to tell you about my experience with Bairstow eves in Sudbry. I have been gazumped twice. Second time, me and my wife we thought we had found the most perfect home. We made the asking price offer. The vendors accepted. Me and my wife started to dream and discuss, what we will do with the house, furniture placement, room arrangements, carpets, ornaments etc. To cut a long story short the estate agent had another buyer, and had a race going to see who completed first. Who ever did got the house. The other person got the house surveyed etc. The estate agent kept telling me yes it you who is buying the house. Once everything had been ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bairstowe Eves: Bairstowe Leaves (212 words)

Bairstowe Eves Feltham Branch has not given the service I expect. After asking a number of Estate Agents to give me a free market valuation. I decided to choose Bairstowe Eves as the agents I felt were the most genuine and the agents I thought understood my situation. To cut a long story short, I was promised that my property would be in the local newspaper that week but only apeared in the paper 2 weeks later. I was also promised that my property would appear on their website, that took a whole 6 days. My property was valued and I was told that my property would sell quickly even in the current market conditions. So far it is almost a month and I have ...  Read the complete review
