We recently part-exed our property for a new Barrat Home just before Christmas. The problem was that due to incorrect figures being passed to solicitors the sale price of the new property went through at the full amount and not at a discounted amount as agreed. So we were left almost £4,000 out of pocket on monies due from the sale of our property.

Barratt acknowledged the a mistake was made and blamed the error on a communication breakdown between solicitors on the purchase price of the new property & promised to refund the money themselves ASAP via cheque as the money had ended up with Barratt and not us. Almost 1 month after completion there is still no sign of the money !! Sales negotiator seems to be helping but says her accounts team are disputing - Sales negotiator is escalating the issue to more senior levels to get this resolved and our money returned.

The facts are black and white with our solicitors and Barratts agreeing to an error but no one seems to be taking action to resolve and get our money returned. This service is terrible and we have literally been Robbed by Barrats of almost £4,000. Hopefully this will be soon resolved and we will not have to open discussions with other claim solicitors to get this resolved.

A very frustrated and out of pocked couple. Thanks Barratt's - you really made our Christmas one to remember....
