Disadvantages: Too endless to list

We bought a Barratt townhouse in Cumbernauld in June 07 and unfortunately it is riddled with problems, water coming in through ceilings, water penetration through windows followed by a whole host of serious defects, including cracks, woodwork hanging off, bad paintwork, ill fitting lights, wobbly bannister in fact at one stage we had 34 separate problems !

Apart from the chaos, scaffolding and constant stream of workmen the Barratt customer service is diabolical, customer services were very poor, calls are never returned and emails go unanswered until I managed to contact the chief exec ( only a slight improvement ) and be careful and ensure if you already have a Barratt house to ensure you have all relevant paperwork as once the warranty expires Barratt are no longer liable for any repairs.

Barratt excuses are endless i.e the houses are not built for such a cold climate and severe weather conditions we have in Scotland. New buyers Beware !!!!
