I am currently in the process of buying a Barratt's appartment and what a nightmere the whole process has been. I am 23 and a first time buyer. After agreeing to buy the property i had a independent valuation carried out which confirmed the appartment was £23,000.00 over price. Anyone else had this issue? I then rang barratts and they said ok we'll take £7000 off the price..... umm not good enough i said. They then got nasty... Baring in mind i am ment to recieve a 14-day completion letter they decided to skip this section and rang me saying they have started legal procedures. GREAT!!! Has anyone had a similar issue?? I'm now in the position where my mortgage has been retracted due to the over priced house and Barratts are seeking 10% of a property which is a rip off.. and to top it all off my solictors aint exactly being great... NEVER BUY FROM BARRATT'S

Summary: Over priced appartments and now they are resorting to bullying tactics.
