Advantages: somewhere to live

Disadvantages: total and utter crap, never fix the problems not built properly

ive recently moved into a 2 bedroom flat in basingstoke built by barrett homes. we dont actually own it as its now owned by sentinel housing. it is totally full of faults. for starters they left the whole flat with just concrete flooring.

secondly the boiler doesnt work, it keeps losing pressure to which barrett have said there is nothing wrong with yet im left with no hot water over night and i have a baby. also when i moved in they had grouting in my kitchen socket my kitchen light was hanging off but they wont fix them

thirdly the communal door in the hallway slams so my baby cant sleep when its night time as our neighbors are always in and out. the main door handle keeps coming off.

outside the building a pipe burst and they left it a week and a half to come and fix it, it was running like a river and i took that long to fix. i thought we were trying to save water in this country but obviouslt not barrett.

also my boiler door doesnt shut and my baby managed to get in there and nearly burn hurself and my living room door gets stuck when you shut it. whcih are both fire hazzards.

barret have left these for months and months and i have rang several times about them. i would never live in a barrett property again and id deffinutky not buy one myself. a load of crap!
