Newest Review: ... was unable to confirm with the surveyor if there was a garage or not as Connells claimed he was uncontactable as he didn't have a mobile (yeah right) which delayed the process by several days. ALMOST THREE MONTHS HAD NOW PASSED and because of the time scale I was also told that Connells had to again publish an announcement in the papers but was assured that it would not be published in the local papers but papers some distance away yet guess what it was in the local papers. Then on the week I was finally due to exchange contracts I received a call from Connells to advise me that a higher offer was to be accepted and that unless I up my o... more

Express Review on Estate Agents in general

Avoid LUROT BRAND at all cost: We have let from them this year and from contracting to responsiveness to checking to solving issues on time they have been absolutely terrible compared to 5 other agencies I have used in the past. Completely sales oriented, yet given their lack of responsiveness in fixing even the healthy & safety issues in the house, I would say they would be a poor choice foe any landlord as well. I would not recommend them to anyone.

CONNED BY CONNELLS (548 words)

In August 2008 I had mortgage advice from Connells of St. Neots (CAMBS). However no record of this was available. I then viewed a repossessed property on sale with them and November I placed an offer on this property which was accepted, after again seeing one of their Financial Advisors. I provided wage slips and bank statements as requested which ended up being lost on two occasions but was informed these were later found in their offices. (After complaining about this they simply blamed the mortgage company.) The survey carried out by them claimed the property had a garage and parking space which only became apparent to me when I received my mortgage offer. ...  Read the complete review

Estate Agents in general: HAART ESTATE AGENTS, WIMBLEDON - (159 words)

HAART ESTATE AGENTS, WIMBLEDON - Whatever you do, DO NOT use these agents to either market your property or buy a property through. The manager is the most arrogant and obnoxious man we have ever come across. We have first hand experience in trying to sell our property through these agents as well as buying a property and the people that we have dealt with there are nothing but lazy, arrogant and rude. He verbally abused my wife over the phone accusing her of lying and being 'over-emotional'. He really has no interpersonal skills and no sense of how to act professional. It was as if he was doing us a favour when I would have thought it is the ...  Read the complete review

Property Concept (465 words)

Rating:

Property Concept are by far the worst organisation I have ever dealt with when letting a property. The company demand relatively high fees in relation to their competitors therefore it would be fair to assume a higher standard of service reflected these prices. In my experience I found completely the opposite. Their communication is, at best, appalling. I must point out this is not in terms of lack of it, but to the effect of receiving so much of it that it left me wishing for an end to the ordeal after days. I was inundated with questions asking the same information on a continual basis, mostly with "call us urgently" this even after personally going into the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Estate Agents in general: Kingflop Forkup Hard (830 words)

Just out of university, trying to move into London, getting a house with friends. An already stressful situation, people from around the country descending on London for a week with the desperate aim of finding a place to live. What could make this worse, more stressful, harder to deal with? KFH. Having found a place we liked, put down the holding fee (oh you want £600 of my money before anything's agreed? That's fine. Would you like me to bend over as well?) and eventually got through to the landlord via the agent, the non-stop barrage of incompetence began. Every time we tried to get in contact with the agent, she took two days to respond, she was ...  Read the complete review
