Advantages: Trethownans, Salisbury were fantastic

Disadvantages: Bonallack and Bishop Solicitors

Bonallack and bishop salisbury have a conveyancing department. Having had experience of previous house purchasing in Salisbury, we used a trusted a very good solicitors called Trethowans, who were excellent for every stage of the process. Bonallack and Bishop were our sellers conveyancers and they were not so outstanding. What should have a been a straight forward transaction turned in a living nightmare, in Salisbury. Bonallack and Bishop didn't play ball, or anything even remotely similar, perhaps they could have thrown a banana, but I'm not sure.

Initial concerns arose, when the time in getting any response from them was a short eternity - I may as well have been in the middle of the ocean waiting for a carrier pigeon to home in on me, patiently bobbing along, in the hope one day it may eventually find me.

Then a turn for the worse. We were subjected to a slow gradual drip feed of infrequent response, which can only be described in the softest of tones as 'fobbing off'. It would seem the feedback given at each stage of the purchase, given to our solicitor, bore little resemblance to the facts, and was in fact total Bonallack's. On three occasions we were set to exchange, but it was delayed for an undisclosed reason. On one notable occasion we were due to exchange and complete on the same day, only to discover the solicitor at Bonallack was instead, procrastinating, dallying, bishop bashing, and had no intention of proceeding with exchange, and whilst they had advised their client it wouldn't be happening, didn't choose to inform us in here Salisbury, until the afternoon of the day before the move. It's a wonder they are all not blind if this is their usual conduct of business.

In summary, I'm keen to promote Trethowans from Salisbury for their conveyancing, they get 5 stars and couldn't have been more helpful and patient, especially when it came to dealing with Bonallack and Bishop.
