Currently I am in the process of trying to exchange contracts with the purchaser of my property, having engaged C James & Co Ltd as sole agent some months ago. The level of professionalism from this agent has been unbelievably low. They were unable to produce photographs for the details of a reasonable standard, we supplied these to them. They were unable to get the property details correct, twice we had to ask for the same changes. They arrived with viewers and did not pass on relevant information about the property that differentiated it from other properties, told one prospective viewer that changes to the property could be made without any knowledge whether this could be done, in fact the deeds prevented what they suggested.

As the vendor, their client supposedly, they have supplied both myself and my solicitor with incorrect information and gone on to deny this. The agent is both patronising and has in more than one instance been extremely rude and sarcastic. We selected this company due mainly to their location, needless to say that very shortly this agreement comes to an end and they will not see me for dust. To anyone else thinking about using this outfit - think long and hard about it, I have spoken with a number of friends who have also been on the receiving end of their lack of professionalism and had I known this before, I would not have touched them with a barge pole.
