Advantages: Easy to use, Well defined searches, Clear listings
Disadvantages: No ability to rate or leave feedback on agents
Myself, my boyfriend and another friend were looking for a property to rent over the last couple of months. Without this site, we'd probably still be looking. The listings are helpful, and Estate Agents can upload pictures, add text etc. Searching for listings is easy, you can type in a postcode, or location, and you can search on type, size and price range. Most agencys want you to call them, rather than use the contact forms - we asked loads to contact us, but none ever did, this was with all three of us getting details of properties we liked at different times. The only problems we had were with the estate agents themselves. We found one flat which we thought was perfect - honestly the nicest flat I've ever visited. After visiting it, we were on our way to put down a deposit when the agents told us someone else had beaten us to it. Obviously they'd have multiple clients booked in to put downa deposit on the same day, and whoever made it first got it. Gah! The same thing happend wth another agency on another property. By this point things were getting really frustrating. Our third property was one we'd asked for information on a few weeks before we heard anything back about! Forunately, it was pretty nice, not as perfect as the first one, but we've just finished unpacking and have been pretty happy. None of the problems were due to FindAProperty, but a way to rate estate agents on the site would be a most welcome improvement!

- 10/12/02 Not a bad start there. Sounds like quite a good service, and I'm sure findaproperty.com would appreciate your feedback with reference to the various agencies and their service.
Hope you have fun at dooyoo - read lots, rate everything and welcome to our community!
