I have just terminated a letting contract with Foxtons and will never deal with this company again.

Do not be fooled by the pretty website and smart offices. I was, and deeply regret it.

Aside from the enormous £300+ 'Administration charges' we paid at the start of our tenancy, we have since paid over £20 for a reference, £116 fee to move out! and a further £235 was taken from our diposit for unneccessary professional cleaning although we left the flat in better condition than when we moved in.

Nearly £700 in total before you've paid a penny of the inflated rental prices.

This would be OK if the service you received was good but it is not. Thier management services take an age to respond to tenants' requests. So much so, that I made repairs myself rather than go through them.

In addition to the huge cost of dealing with Foxtons, their staff are very pushy and fabricate market trends to panic you into signing on the dotted line immediately.

This was my major error and my advice to anyone is to read their contracts very thoroughly as they contain charges you may not be expecting.

From my experience, I would never ust Foxtons again.

I only wish I had read a review before I was seduced by the website into dealing with them.
