I wish I had known about consumer reviews sites before.

I have been living in a property let and managed by Foxtons for almost a year. Despite having been a tenant in different houses for over 20 years I have never had such a horrible experience as the current one.

Since the beginning Foxtons charged me fees for all kind of things: looking for a property, putting and offer... They told me it was easier for me if I had the property managed by Foxtons, bad idea. They never took care of any issues and told me they would sue me if I contacted They always held a copy of the keys of my home and when I told them I was leaving the property they entered into the propert to show it to prospective tenants without telling me they were coming. They even entered my house while I was in bed.

Of course, I lost my whole deposit when I left; they found many issues which were non existent. I contacted the landlord afterwards and, although they said the deposit was going to the landlord to cover for house repairs he never received the money.
This has been the most stresful experience of my life, I felt cheated, helpless, and scared of their legal menaces.

Do yourself a favor, stay far from them, never deal with these people. Don't even go in our of their branches, they know all kind of tricks to get you to sign contracts which they claim are non-binding.
