HaartNewest Review: ... went to see the property again and were told that the extortionate admin and credit reference check fee of £250 was not nogotiable. By now we had our heart set on the house, so we grudgingly paid and applied. At the time we told them that we had to give a months notice. 3. We didn't hear anything from the until the new year, when they said everythign was sorted and we were able to move in ... more |

Haart suck arse. We went to then six months ago for a rental property, as we were fed up with our previous property. We found a lovely house pretty close to where we were, with double glazing, lovely decor, loft conversion and a bit more space. We booked to have a look and went to view the property. Things went downhill from there. 1. The rep was over an hour late (on a frosty Dece, ber night) when we decided to go home and call it a night. They were not particularly bothered. 2. We went to see the property again and were told that the extortionate admin and credit reference check fee of £250 was not nogotiable. By now we had our heart set on ... Read the complete review

My experience with Haart has been as a buyer and I must admit, I won't be going there again. I registered with them and gave them my price range and location preferences, yet despite this, was inundated with information about useless property's that were neither in my area or the price range i asked for. When questioned about this, they still continued to alert me to new properties which were far below my price range and in dilapidated areas, clearly property's they wanted to be rid of. I was contantly called pretty much on a daily basis about such property's, which got really annoying because the phone calls would not stop. It reached a point where I resorted to turning ... I would like to warn people about Haart in Woolwich (it has since closed down), but it just reflects the disrespect they have for the customers. Back in 2004, I signed up with Haart to sell my flat (Woolwich, SE18). The only problem was that they failed to tell me their branch was under the threat of closure. As you can imagine, the the staff where demoralised and demotivated. Despite this, they were still signing on new clients!. I was later told by a competitor, they were doing this because they wanted to have as many properties on their books just to justify their bosses to keep the branch open (I think they were trying ... This opinion is written from the perspective of someone looking to buy a property on the Haart website rather than sell a property, although it should provide some sobering thoughts for anyone about to put their house on the market with Spicer Haart. I am currently house hunting and as I am looking to buy a property that is not in my local area the internet has been a great resource. I also think that websites are the way forward when selling a property and would make my choice of agent to sell my house taking into account the web services they offer. There are many fabulous websites out there that will show you just what an agent has available, give you ... Read the complete review

Haart is the high steet name of what used to be Woolwich property services. I have had mixed experiences dealing with both Woolwich and Haart at different branches, whch probably goes to show that the level of service is not entirely consistant across locations. The first time we used Woolwich as the sole agent to sell our house, we had a good experience, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the process and worked closely with our solicitor. I found the valuation process to be thorough, and the sales particulars were produced to a high standard. We very soon had some suitable prospective purchasers round to view the property, and I got the impression ... Read the complete review
