This is a first opt! I have decided that buying land and building my own house
will be far more cheaper and more profitable in the long term. However I'm interested to hear anyone's opinion or those who have actually gone through with it. I find the quality of houses on the market of poor value and over priced especially in the south. So anyone out there who has had experience with buying land, getting planning permission, builders, living on site. Let us know your views and advice.

Sorry short opt!

Hiya, sorry for the horrid rating especially on your first opinion. DooYoo's not really a place to ask questions like that. Although I think you'll find if you have a read through the reviews in the section you've posted this you'll find some answers.

Also, it really does depend on what you mean by 'building your own home' I assume that you mean picking a reputable company to build it for you - well look around the site.

For your next review, write about a product you've used, you'll find it much easier to write something helpful!
