Disadvantages: waste of time
If like myself you have every had the need to call the Sky Digital Customer Service line then I hope you have plenty of time on your hands. I've had numerous problems with the digital system and had to call. Firstly on getting through to the call centre you are told (by a computer) that you have called at a very busy time, this "busy time" I have found is all of the time!!. Once you finally manage to negotiate your way through all the different options given and can finally speak to a human being, you are enivitably told that it is not their department and to call another one. Most times I've called it has taken approximately 30 minutes just to speak to someone. No wonder they make profit!. I've also been asked "who it was you spoke to last time?", now considering that the Sky Call Centre in Livingston has 4500 people working there, and that they will only give their first name when asked it's just about impossible to get help. Why do these orinisation have to get so big? Hopefully one day one of the top staff will have a problem with their own satellite system and have to phone, then we will probably see some changes. Until then have a flask of coffee ready when you call them.

- 09/07/01 I think you put this in the wrong category mate, try asking Dooyoo to move it to the sky digital section, right now it is under home buying! Steve |
