First up, this review relates to the Milliners Green development in Staffordshire. We bought our first Charles Church home on this development 4 years ago and we have been delighted with it. As with all new houses (they are built by humans, not machines) there were a few snags of which the worst was a faulty downstairs WC and ... Read the complete review

I've been in my 4 bed persimmon home for about 3 months now, and have to say, all in all i'm very happy with our purchase. We went for the part ex deal and got slightly more than what they marketed it for after completion, and shaved a few grand off the asking price as the property was a stock plot. For those who want a bit of a bargain, ... Read the complete review

We are in mid process of buying a Persimmon home. We put down a £250.00 deposit, we spent many visits at our choice of mortgage advisor, and had the go ahead from him. Persimmon say that they do part exchange on thier glossy entising brosures and oh dont they make it sound easy. They put our house on the market with 3 estate agents, ... Read the complete review

My wife and I moved into our 4 bed detached in September 2010 and we are chuffed to bits with it. Only some minor teathing troubles that were quickly sorted. Grass was in excellent condition when we moved in. Reading back on some of the other comments it looks like a lot depends on where you buy. ours was in Bishop Auckland.

I ordered a home with Persimmon in July 2009, the original plot that I reserved had already been given to someone else so they offered me another one which I accepted. By this point however the solicitors had already ordered a land survey for the original plot so I had two on my hands, and of course two fees. Because it was Persimmons ... Read the complete review

My partner and I brought our first home with Persimmon in March 2010. We were so excited having our first home and spent weeks doing the flooring ourselve. First issue-the plumber for our home had been sub-contracted and had plumbed the kitchen in with the wrong fittings. So on using my washing machine the first time we found our ... I purchased my property in June 2010, and have been waiting for nearly 6 months for the snags on my 1 month inspection form to be addressed. Their customer services team are a joke, emails ignored, one contact we have is CONSTANTLY "out of office" and still not replying upon his return. It is like banging your head on a brick ... I am currently buying a persimmon home through their assisted move program, they basically market your house for you. However i now realise that this is not for the reasons i had expected, i thought that it was to make things stress free for me and keep things as simple as possible. Doh !, the reason i believe they do this is nothing to ... Read the complete review

Persimmon Home provides the worst customer service that I ever experience in my life.I had moved into my brand new 4 bedrooms and when I did the sang list just before the handover was taken place I got him noticed down the Gas Box lid is broken and I was being nice and told them you can fix this any time you want, which he never carried out.Than now the customer services had denied any knowledge of the issues was ever recorded and the person that was dealing with my request has left the company. Now, they will not fix my problem because it was not covered under NHBC and theirs warranties. I found that totally unbelievable they can say that and this is from the Head of Customer Services...It is only a Gas Meter Box....... How difficult is that to fix....????

My partner and I moved into our 3bed persimmon home 6months ago and have had no problems at all maybe it depends on the location you buy your house (we're in Gloucester) or we've been lucky but we're 100% happy with it.

I have been living in my newly built Persimmon Home for almost 3 years. I took up the offer on the home exchange. I was warned that they offer a lot lower than the value of your home, but you are really paying for the convenience of them taking you old property off your hands. Saying that, nobody wants to loose money, and Persimmon do ... Read the complete review

NEVER BUY A PERSIMMONS HOME. After our house been finished 4months later than it was supposed to be it is a joke living here. we had numerous problems when we moved in.we are currently waiting for our kitchen to be pulled out and the right one put in. i was told in december it would be in the new year i still havent heard anything and just get palmed off by sales office. we live with a ridiculous amount of lorries driving past which is damaging the street and leaving inches of mud behind them which now trails into the house. ive complained numerous times to head office and they dont seem to care once they have our money. think twice people its not worth the stress honestly i no all my neighbours will agree.

We were buying a Persimmon Home through their home-mover scheme - where they pay the estate agent and HIP fees. We found a full asking price buyer quickly - twice - but unfortunately due to minor problems they fell through. The property was back on the market for a couple of days with a lot of interest (we currently have a city centre ... Read the complete review

A lot of people knock Persimmon Homes, as they do with most home builders. It may be that I've been lucky, or it might just be that people prefer to complain, but I've had very few problems and, four months down the line, am more than happy with my purchase. My Fiancée and I made the decision to buy a Persimmon property back ... Read the complete review

I'm just about to receive the keys to my Persimmon home. Be warned, they changed the look of the house without telling me. It is in the missives that they can do this but I now have a different looking house from the rest of the development so they can save money - they removed the stone features and replaced them with brick. They told me this was because of a defect in the stone then proceeded to build further properties in the development with this stone!! Trying to save money me thinks!!!!!

Never buy a home from Persimmon Homes wouldn't even give it one star!!!!!!!!!- We moved into our property in January 2007 as a new home - May 2008 one of the internal steps collapsed and my partner and 3 month old fell down the stairs. Persimmon came out and said it was a bit of "shrinkage" and that they had effected a full and permenant repair. Beginning of 2009 and we had more movement in our internal stairs and it had dropped, when we had the plaster removed the work was apalling, it was condemned by a structural surveyor, the stairs weren't attached to the wall pieces were missing and structural posts were missing, the permenant repair was a piece of skirting board to cover a gap....never ever buy a home from these cowboys they are a disgrace to the building trade!!!!!!!!!!!!!
