I hired CLAPHAM REMOVALS( also called Fulham Removals) they were highly unprofessional, they broke a lot of things only gave me very limited time to unpack and report any breakages to claim on insurance - they also were extremly business like upfront then after the move when I reported problems their attitude totally changed - they have tried to blame me personally for all their mistakes, They underestimated the move, and some of my stuff had to wait on the pavement for a van to return , packed really badly causing a lot of breakages, I have had to totally argue to get the only thing I managed to find broken within the deadline replaced, and then it was never sent so 2 months after the move I am going through the ombudsman - they are trying to offer me a replacement item purchased off EBAY! and not from a shop where I have a reciept/ gurantee etc. They are refusing to restore my 70's chairs to the state in which there were moved. They stacked them upside down with no padding and scratched them totally. They are also now sadly trying to effectively name call etc and saying to the guild of removers that I confused them during packing ! surely if you are professional its your job just to get this right - this comment is particularly funny as my mum and I sat in the garden and also went out during most of the packing day - during the move we had to calm the staff down as they were so late in loading the lorry (only starting their day at 9) my buyers were getting very angry - the move took literally hours and hours and I was only moving 3 miles - I am really very dissapointed that this company cannot just really and sincerely appologise and not tell lies to cover their backs - I really think this modern way of complaining back to the complainant rather than owning up and saying sorry needs well and truly stamping out, hense this Blog - Sally
