STEER CLEAR OF ROBINSONS REMOVALS OF BRISTOL

This company has a moto of being "Professional" but were far from it. Not only did they send a lorry that wasnt big enough so we had to leave our garden plants and other things from our shed at various neighbours houses. But they then proceeded to rush packing the rest of the lorry and rushed unpacking it at the new house and smashed a solid oak dining chair in the process (from a set of 6 chairs leaving 5 an odd number) and they didnt wrap my solid wood underbed drawers in any blankets so while the lorry was bumping along the road they were knocked about and got dented and scraped in the process. When I challenged the 2 men about the damage, one of them said "oh well there were a few small scrathes on them at the start so techincally they were damaged anyway". What an attitude to have and a totally inapproriate thing to say to a paying customer regardless if there were marks on the item before - which there was not! The chair fell off the lorry and smashed as the other driver pulled a box out from high up and knocked it off the sideboard it was stood on. NEGLIGANCE NOT AN ACCIDENT AS HE WASNT LOOKING AT WHAT HE WAS DOING!!!
We didnt take out the £85 insurance as the removal fee was £600 and as we were using what we thought was a reputable company we didnt think it would be necessary. HOW WRONG WERE WE
When we sent photos and wrote to the manager of the firm about the damage he simply said "it was accidental damage and that there was nothing he could do as we hadnt taken their insurance". So basically was fobbing us off. In other words his staff are a liability and can get away with doing a poor job and still get their money 7 DAYS IN ADVANCE OF MOVING MIGHT I ADD.
They cant guarantee a PROFESSIONAL SERVICE as you need the insurance to cover their bone head staff incase they decide to cut corners and break your belongings. The joke is I explained before they started loading the lorry that I couldnt stress enough how important it was that things were packed properly as we hired a van to move last time and had a friend drive and to many things were damaged through it, so we had hired them to avoid this again and the men replied" Dont worry its all under control were PROFESSIONALS thats what you have paid us for" Yeah right! Professional my backside.
So the moral here is people dont go near this company unless you are prepared for the fact your things will get broken and you will have to part with another £90 ontop of their massive fee just to cover their bone head staff. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Summary: DONT GO NEAR THEM AT ALL
