Advantages: Search on a single website to see all the UK's properties for sale!

Disadvantages: Not all agents list with the site

RightMove.co.uk has to be high up on the list of websites when searching for a new home, and in my opinion is pretty much to the housing market what AutoTrader.co.uk is to the car world.
We are currently in the process of trying to sell our house and as part of our Estate Agent's marketing campaign, the house is automatically listed on Rightmove.co.uk.
The benefit of RightMove is that it is a one-stop-shop for viewing houses for sale in all areas of the UK with any estate agent (who choses to list on there in addition to on their own website!). This means that you don't need to trawl through loads of individual estate agent websites to see what is available.
There are properties on there for sale and for rent and you can automatically link to the estate agents website once you find something you are interested in. You can also pick the type of property you would like to buy, for example new build or character property, so that you don't need to look through lots of houses that you would immediately rule out.
Overall this website is easy to use and any homeseller should ensure that their property is listed on here. Gone are the days of homebuyers visiting the windows of each estate agent in person!
