RightMove is an online service offering details of residential sales all over the UK. It allows you to search by area, postcode or price range. It is not an estate agent but allows you to request full details of the listed properties from the relevant agents. These are then posted to you.

The first time I used RightMove I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of properties it works with. I had previously used some other online services that told me there were no houses for sale in Wawickshire at all! No matter what search criteria I use RightMove always provides me with at least 20 returns.

The system is very easy to use. Once you've looked through the properties selected as meeting your search criteria you can choose to put some or all of them into your in tray. From here you can ask for the relevant estate agents to submit you full details. I have always received replies to these requests within three days at the most. The properties you have submitted are moved to a section called my records, from here they can be copied back into the in tray for resubmission or deleted.

The website has a really clear layout and is very easy to navigate. This, coupled with the large number of properties available, makes RightMove a very useful tool when looking for a house.
