Basically I can't even describe that "lettings office". I am a foreign student that rented a house from them. I paid them 4500 pounds but they would not let me live in the house !! because my housemate's previous landlord didn't have fax paper to send to them a paper I don't even know what they need it for. Even though I did everything I was asked to do and paid to them the full amount of the first six months still they wouldn't let me in. I was basically left homeless. Don't get anything from them or if want to do so go there with your lawyer. In addition to that the people were unbelievably rude, I told them I would be homeless and instead of helping me I was told that they have more important things to do rather than explaining to me those things !!. I don't know if I ll ever get my house, but I know that if you want a house don't go to Townends.

Summary: Don't get a house from them. They will steal your money and leave you without a house.
