Disadvantages: Appalling building quality, Zero customer service, Stress Stress Stress

After 6 months of kicking and screaming, threatening legal action, putting posters in our windows and getting completely stressed with the whole Westbury "Customer Experience" we called in Inspector Home. They found another 89 defects in our home, fronted down Westbury and we now have their grudging acceptance that the "Best In Class" showhome they sold us (more to get cash into a failing site - Bramley Green, as it turns out!) was not constructed/finished properly.

One final thought... if you are thinking of buying newbuild remember one thing - you will have no legal rights once you complete. You are at the mercy of your housebuilder and the Courts won't help...... fantastic value proposition for new families starting out or pensioners hoping to find a "no hassle" smaller home.........
