WinkworthNewest Review: ... a lack of sympathy at our predicament. My mortgage advisor was in contact with Winkworth at this stage regarding our offer and at one stage during a phone conversation, in which there was a discussion over my partner and I's finances, my mortgage advisor stated that we would have a 10% deposit ready by completion, to which the agent and the manager at Winkworth Willedsden Green replied that ... more |

Depends which branch you use:
Shepherds Bush are an absolute pleasure to deal with - polite, courteous, prompt, caring and respectful. Have all the time in the world for them and would recommend them to anyone.
Hammersmith are rude, crass, selfish, ignorant and narcissistic. Having entered into a written agreement with them that didn't suit them they are now trying to worm their way out of it, which is to be expected, but the manner in which they ignore emails and telephone calls, refuse to contact you back and try to fob you off with the occasional 'looking into it' is nothing short of arrogant. I would avoid at all costs.

What a discrace to all property agents. I found them very rude at times and very unresponsive. I rented a property through them and found that I was constantly reminded that I have not paid my rent when I did and had the statements to prove it.
When trying to contact the agent in charge of our property about certain things that needed to be dealt with I got no answer. Even after calling them up I was told that "it was being looked into" but nothing happened for months. After sending countless emails and phoning them I gave up which is I suppose what they wanted me to do.
I wouldn't be surprised if all the good feedback on here was submitted by bored winkworth staff......but who knows.
I will never let from Winkworth ever again and will advise everyone I meet of my experiences.

Winkworth are a digrace to all estate agencys.they will use what ever means ,including fradulent to not pay out tenants deposits.Do not trust them from the outset. When you move in check the list carefully as they have a habit of carrying around a number of different check in lists of the state of the property not all the same and will try to give you the one that does not represent the state of the property when you move in.Pay special attention to the paint work.they realise tenants useally move within two years so the quality is poor and they will definetly try to get you to have it repainted when you move out.You will find that if you try to clean the walls the paint ... My partner and I recieved extremely poor service when purchasing my our first flat through Winkworth Willesden Green, London. As you can imagine, buying a flat is stressful at the best of times but especially when it is you first home that you are purchasing. The day after we first viewed the property, we placed an offer and it was accepted at £5000 under the asking price. I specifically asked the agent that now the offer had been accepted that the flat would no longer be viewed and advertised. He agreed but when I contacted the office 5 days later to ask for confirmation of this, the agent said he had been away and that the message had not been passed on ... Read the complete review
