Last year ( about this time) My husband and I moved house. We loved the flat that we were in (a two bedroom) but I was pregnant with our first child & whilst we had 2 bedrooms, the second bedroom was a spare room, an office, library and musical instrument room. So we needed a larger house because if not we would probably explode.

Around September we decided that we had to look for an agent. At first we thought we could of done a private sale but alas it didn't look that the couple could get the mortgage.

By the way, I live in Scotland, so the system is different to the rest of the UK. In many ways it is better, because you can not get gezumped. If you make an offer on a house and it is accepted, the deal is done.

Due to the private sale option that failed we really had to move fast. ( I was due at the beginning of December) We got a few valuations that ranged from £38000 to £45000.
We that got a couple of agents to come in and explain costs to us.

Due to my pregnancy, we were on a budget of about £100,000 because I was still unsure what my work situation would be. At that time there seemed to be lots of first time buyers properties then a jump to £120,000. When the valuer for your move came round, he not only gave us a fair valuation but he also said to us that he had just been round to a property that was not officially on the market but would seem ideal for us. He said that he could not give us details yet but if we phoned the next day, we could get them.

This man's helpful attitude and the fact that the company had all their branches networked online made us choose them. The agent came round took a few digital pictures and by the next day our property was on the market.

We had asked the agent not to send anyone round over the weekend, because we had a few finishing touches to do but on the Monday I had 2 viewers..... by Monday night one viewer had made an offer (subject to survey) of over £50000. SOLD!

Your move is a company with over 300 branches. They gave us a comprehensive booklet and video that explained all the details clearly. They had very helpful staff and all their branches are networked on the website. The website is www.Your-move.co.uk. This means that you can pick an area of the UK and look for properties in that area. (Very handy if you are relocating in a new area some distance away)

All in all your move made our move very easy.

(By the way we got a nice 3 bedroom mid-terraced house for £70000)
