Freecom Network Mediaplayer-350 WLAN:
... bit of kit sounds fantastic from the description, however don t be fooled! From a hardware and connection point of view it s got everything you would need. All sounds perfect, except the software and user interface is terrible. Really terrible. Even doing some simple things like playing all the mp3 s in a random order can t be done (especially if you have too many mp3s). The software trys to build a playlist ... Pioneer VSX D512-K ... Midnight Loudness (which is quite nifty – you get effective surround sound for movies at low volume levels – so you don’t annoy the neighbours/wake the kids up) etc etc. I’m not a technical expert all I know is that the sound it produces is awesome. (that means there are 6 satellite speakers)– its’ one of the better sorts of surround sound system. I haven’t got a subwoofer so mine is set up as a 5.1 - it still produces excellent quality output. The Tuner (Radio) – FM and AM, the usual features, automatic and manual tuning, 30 station presets, Radio Data sys... Read the full review: An Excellent Piece of Kit by RichPrice |

Yamaha RX-V457 ... is a bargain of a receiver. Shares the same decoders are more expensive receivers. The sound is very clean and accurate. This is useful for a receiver. Has 2 optical, and 1 coaxial. I w... Read the full review: Its great. Not perfect, but up there. by George |
