Its got connections a plenty and is capable of 7.1 surround sound plus has a neat two room capability enabling you to have speakers in two different rooms but only listen in one unless of course you want music in both. There are enough input channels for your TV and your CD player and your DVD player and your Wii and your PS3 and another three things besides. Onkyo TX SR505 ... have lived with this AV receiver for about 2 years now and it does everything I ask of it. The build quality of Onkyo products is high and when you try to lift this beast you appreciate the quality. This AV receiver has an HDMI switch which is handy, note this is a pass-through only but handy when you try and connect all those inputs. The power of this amp shakes my apartment despite the fact I only have small satellite speakers and a dedicated amp. The best feature of this amp by far is the Audyssey 2EQ feature.
