The software trys to build a playlist first by searching the hard disk for relevant file, but there must be a limit on the buffer size so this dies when you've got too many mp3s. The same is true of the jpg viewer. Not very good, and also very slow to generate the next picture view. Playing video wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. Not what I'd call a quality box. This bit of kit sounds fantastic from the description, however don't be fooled! From a hardware and connection point of view it's got everything you would need. All sounds perfect, except the software and user interface is terrible. Really terrible.
