Iomega Screenplay Pro HD Multimedia Drive

Do not buy an Iomega Screen Pro HD!
Mine reboots on it's own, will not play DVD format, has lots of trouble with divx (some work and some don't) and routinely freezes. Technical assistance could not resolve any of these issues and says that they do not give refunds.
In other words, they got my money and now hope I will go away.

Just bought this Iomega ScreenPlay Pro HD Multimedia Drive and I have to bring it back to the shop today because when I connect it to the tv, it doesn't do anything, start loading, then it goes into the Iomega black screen, after some seconds the black screen jus disappears and I get a bad signal message. I have tried with two different TVs HD and AV connection with no joy. I was only able to copy some movies from my PC but I can play anything. The switch off button doesn't work on remote control as it freezes in the blanck screen, it only works to switch it on the HDD multimedia.

Had Iomega Screeplay HD as present for playing my videos in HD but have had nothing but trouble with it. Jumped through all the hoops suggested by the company help - turned my sony 2TS file into a mkv file, then looked on the CD that came with it for a transcode server. None on it, so they sent me another - none on that either. After wasting hours and hours fiddling around with this rubbish product I would warn anyone to find out which formats it works with before you buy. Now all I have is an overpriced spare hard drive which does not do what it says on the box.

Havind a nightmare with this product one minute i can dectect the drive on my pc the next minute i can't. it is buggy as hell and it is going back. oh and my drivers are up to date, hee hee if you swap the usb lead it likes that and decides to work!!! never seen a plug n play device never plug n play before... even installed the sware supplied and that cant detect it either! Did manage to get some stuff on as got it working twice in the last 15 hours. It hooks up to tv well no probs there. it has just gotta go back- gutted
