Pioneer VSX-C301-S:
... years ago I shelled out for my first HDTV, Argos had an offer on for 32inch TVs for £300 and I picked one up. Initially I just had it to play games on but after I saw a few films in High-Definition it really brought back my interest in watching films. With that in mind I decided to set up a full, home theatre setup around my TV. I wasn t too well off for money at the time and really didn t know anything about sur... Pioneer VSX 417-S ... purchased this reciever just over 6 months now and what can i say to this day it remains stunning. This is a very affordable way to get yourself immersed in surround sound through anything you can think of with surround sound capabilities. Being a stand alone AV Reviever as oposed to these all in one Dvd and surround sound packages it means the quality of sound is generally better. Also you are able to connect devices to it such as the Xbox 360 which you cant with all in one systems. There are 3 video inputs on this device and 5 audio, you can choose how to set it up. When i had my SD tv i had the dvd, freeview and xbox connected to the 3 video and 3 audio and the pc au... Read the full review: A Very Nice Surround Sound Reciever by edward91 |

Pioneer VSX 516-S ... purchased a VSX-516 Pioneer Audio/ Video Multi-Channel Receiver to replace a Technics AV Control Stereo Receiver which Display Screen was no longer working although the Technics unit was working fine otherwise. The Pioneer A/V Unit keeps tripping-off whenever I use the CD player - after about ten-minutes of playing time. I have not hooked the Pioneer Receiver to the DVD player or TV to see if this tripping-off problem is evident with all external components. COMMENTS from other users will be appreciated. The Pioneer Receiver sounds fine otherwise.... Read the full review: Pioneer AV Receiver Problem by Stephen Noel McCarthy |
