I bought this unit as a replacement for a dying and ancient Armstrong 626, which suffered from several problems after giving me sterling service for many years as a cheap multi room amp, so much so that I wasn't sure if this would live up to it.
It works as I expected it to from the description and even sounds good with the ceiling speakers that I already have installed in my lounge and bedroom. I needed a tuner/amplifier that also supported a cassette player, which I known is very old school, turntable and CD player, so this unit needed to be able to fulfill all of those roles, which it did admirably and very well too I might add. It has a good sound on radio, cassette, CD and turntable. It is easy to use and has the capacity to produce more volume than ever I would ever want. In all, this is an excellent unit that I would recommend to anyone no matter the use as it can do just about anything.
Personally, I have no use for the "dual zone" property, but others may find this more useful. Although clearly built down to the price it is not cheap and nasty although still a little lightweight compared with the tank like build of Onkyo kit that can be found on the market. This unit is perfect for the price that I paid for it and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome that I have had from a worried purchase
