	Yamaha RX-V457 ... is a bargain of a receiver. Shares the same decoders are more expensive receivers. The sound is very clean and accurate. This is useful for a receiver. If however you are using is for listening to music, it is good but not perfect. If you listen to just classical and jazz, it would be excellent. However if you like pop and dance, even on the highest bass settings you sometimes wish for some more. However don t think that the bass in however thin, its not. Regardless of tonal settings, this almost never runs our of power. It will only clip and distorting at its limit, its highest volume settings. I wish it had more digital inputs. 	Yamaha RX-V620RDS ... entry level home cinema receiver, although deleted from manufacture now, if youre thinking of going into the home cinema market, you couldn't go wrong with this purchase. I bought mine in April 03 for £215, a bargain i thought! So far, i'm more than happy with its ease of use and performance (90w RMS per channel x5) quite high power at the budget end of the market. The only down side to the amp is the 5 channel stereo mode listening to CD music, I find it seperates the music too much ( as with all the effect settings when listening to CD's), but if you keep the effects off, it stands its ground with clear sound quality. 	Yamaha RX-V396RDS ... in at a mere £300, this amp is firmly within the budget price range. And for sheer bang for the buck it's in my opinion unmatched. You get a host of inputs including 2 optical digital inputs and 1 coaxial digital input for connecting DVD player, PS2 and any other Dolby Digital 5.1 devices you might own. There are 7 sets of stereo phono inputs for various different audio devices, and 3 composite video inputs, so you can switch between video devices using the amplifiers remote control. You get a set of 5 basic speakers and a powered subwoofer with this amp. These do the job adequatley but if you are into audio you're going to want to upgrade them. Ther...
