Rice & Pasta Dishes ... and my other half have stopped eating as much red meat as we used to. Being lovers of pasta dishes, and lasagne in particular, I set about thinking up a new combination of filling for this dish. Chicken is always a crowd pleaser when we have friends round so i decided that this should be the main meat. Personally, I do find chicken a little bit bland so i wanted something a little more flavoursome to go with it. I decided on ham as my next ingredient as it has a nice strong flavour. Desserts ... is very sickly and sweet but I love it so I hope you all will too!! Sticky orange sponge pudding with Orange sauce: Ingrediants: 2 oranges 8flz (250ml) water 4oz(125g) butter (I used marg still tastes good!!) 7oz(200g) caster sugar 3 eggs 6oz(175g) self-raising flour 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 3 tablespoons golden syrup 1 tablespoon cornflour Instructions: 1) Slice 1 of the oranges into thin strips and place in a saucepan with water - cover and simmer for 20 mins or until the orange is tender. Grate the rind and squeeze the juice from another into a bowl. 2) Butter the inside of a pudding bowl ( I personally use a pyrex circular shaped dish) as long as its 2 pint... Meat ... must admit I put this receipe together with a few bits and pieces and then passed it to a friend who loves is so I thought I would share it with you all. This is for Lamb Tangine- so all you Spice lovers out there should like this one: Ingrediants: 1lb(500g) minced lamb 1 onion 2-3 garlic cloves (I always use 3 as I love garlic) 1 1/2 inch garlic( I just bought a little bit from the supermarket but at the moment this may be hard to find- my pal uses garlic paste and said it works just as well) 1 teaspoon tumeric 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice 2 tablespoons plain flour 130z(400g) chopped tomatoes 300g (100z) new potatoes 1 1/2 pints lamb or chick...
