Advantages: Cheap as Chips, tasty, filling, not too bad calorie wise.

Disadvantages: None at all

Corned beef Hash recipe as we make it in Yorkshire.

Put a couple of diced potatoes, diced onion and carrots (cut into rings) into a saucepan, cover with cold water, crumble in a beef OXO cube and boil for about 20-30 minutes. Cut the corned beef block into cubes (3 slices one way and 3 slices the other way). Add to the rest of the ingredients and simmer for ten minutes. The corned beef will break up slightly and thicken the sauce. Check for seasoning, you may like to add a bit of salt and pepper.
ladle into a bowl and serve with crusty (buttered)bread (like a chunky soup or stew). Can also be served with Yorkshire Puddings or even between two plain pancakes. Brown sauce is nice with it or a splash of Lee & Perrins. Cheap as owt!!ENJOY it!
I think this is a bit like "Scouse" but with Corned Beef instead of neck of lamb.

Summary: Enjoy this cheap and filling recipe which is ideal for hard-up students.
