easy victoris sponge cake (Baking)

since i have been given this victoria sponge cake recipe, i have never had one time it didn't work or taste good, its also so simple, its idiot proof!

ingredents
200g caster sugar
200g butter {softened}, extra for tins
4 medium eggs
200g self raising flour
1 teasppon baking powder
2 tablespoons milk

preheat oven to 190c of gas mark5
greese with the extra butter 2 sandwich tins
{heres the best part}
in a large bowl beat all the cake ingredients together until you have a smooth and soft batter,
divide between the 2 tins
put in oven for around 20 mins

when cooked leave to cool on a wire rack

filling
300 mls double cream
jam {i use seedless raspberry}
icing sugar
whip the cream with a whisk until thick and spreadable
spread cream on one half of the cake and jam on the other and sandwich together
dust with icing sugar
