***Carrot Cake*** ---Intro--- It was one of those weekends where hubby had deserted me, and I was left to my own devices, and having already made roasted red pepper soup I decided that I'd make something sweet, but it would have to be something that didn't have any complicated ingredients in it that would require leaving the house ... I work in an open plan office with a lively, friendly bunch. They also like their food and we have in the past indulged in cheese days on a monthly basis. We soon got bored of this however, there's only so much cheese you can eat even if your name is Gromit (or is it Wallis?!!) Anyway, as an alternative we've settled on cake days, ... I first made these brownies a while ago, and they've now become a favourite of mine! They're very chocolate-y and rich, but also have that nice moist cake texture which you can choose the gooeyness of! This recipe usually makes 12 smaller brownies, or 6 good sized ones! What I really love about this recipe is that you can use proper chocolate, and ... Read the complete review

These are absolutely the best chocolate fudge brownies in the world. I'm not entirely sure where this recipe came from; it's one of those ones that's written in someone else's old fashioned handwriting on an old grease spotted piece of yellowed note paper. But don't let my revolting sounding piece of paper put you off! That's how to tell if a ... Read the complete review

I made this salty, cheese bread for a garden party last week-end. They disappeared very quickly. They look like the house of a snail that's why we call them snails. For the first time probably it seems to be a bit difficult but it isn't. The dough can be made in a bread maker (1,5 hours) then it can be prepared and baked in an hour. There will be ... ~~~~~~~~~~ Introduction ~~~~~~~~~~ The PTA at my daughter's Primary school regularly holds cake sale days in order to raise money for school funds. On specially designated days throughout the school calendar, willing parents (Mums in other words - apologies gents!) are asked to bake and donate a dozen or so small individual cakes to ... This is a cake that I've been trying to perfect for years now and I think I've finally created the tastiest peanut butter cake in the world! Obviously this isn't a cake for those with peanut allergies. Make you sure you check that whoever eats the cake isn't allergic to nuts; you don't want to end up killing your friends! This is a ... Orange, Lemon and Strawberry Delight Although this is technically an invention of mine, it's not really groundbreaking. Having said this, it's absolutely delicious and has a fresh flavour that's perfect for the summer months. You will need one cake tin that is approximately 25 cm in diameter and about 2 inches deep. If you ... Read the complete review

Having just seen a review for M&S cup cakes - 4 for £2.99! I thought I would write my review of my own home made cup cakes. These cakes always seem to be a hit whenever I make them, whether for children or adults. If I am making them for children I ice them in whacky colours but if making for adults I decorate them with pastel ... Read the complete review

If you have given up completely on the idea of being slim for summer and just want to indulge in a piece of heaven then this is the recipe for you. My daughter makes these frequently and I have had to stop keeping the ingredients in the house because if she makes them I just can't resist! They are not as sickly as some recipes and do not have ... Read the complete review

Thanks for great easy to follow recipe, I love baking, but muffins i have tried always fail and dont taste that great either. have lots of recipes in books but all are over complicated and all different depending on what your kind your making. Your variations on the one recipe are great and mean you dont end up with a cupboard full of stuff you only need in one thing.

Not that long ago I wrote a review about a shop in Mermaid Quay, Cardiff that we had been fortunate enough to visit, the shop was called `Fabulous` a cafe come gift shop that cooks the most delicious welsh cakes on site. `Fabulous` bake their cakes for a living, I just bake mine for anyone who comes in for a cuppa and fancies one. -General- ******** Technically you could consider a cheesecake a dessert, however this recipe is for a New York style Baked Cheesecake, so I would consider it, a baked item. So I hope nobody objects too strongly to this being placed where it is in speakers corner. This baked cheesecake recipe, is fool-proof. No really, ... Read the complete review

The recipe I'm sharing with you here is one for the midnight munchies, or any other time when you desperately need biscuits but forgot to buy any. It's not the best shortbread method, but it is reliable and (more importantly) takes less than half an hour. It's easy to clean up after. I'll include a few variations - once you've got the ... I thought I would share with you my recipe for Raspberry Buns. My partner is a coeliac and as such she can't eat any kind of wheat or gluten, this means for the most part she has to eat some pretty awful bread and pastries if at all. Savoury Flapjack! I discovered this recipe a couple of years ago and have made it quite a few times with my son. It is an extremely easy recipe to make and is practically foolproof as the ingredients don't have to be exact and it is almost impossible to burn as it is cooked on a low heat. Every time I have made this recipe I have ... Read the complete review
