BrowniesNewest Review: ... say it turned out good, yummy, sweet but not too sickly with a hint of coconut. Easy to make just throw everything into the bowl, mix, pour and bake. Egg-less brownies: Ingredients: 1 cup plain flour 3/4 cup of caster sugar 1/4 cocoa powder 1/2 desiccated coconut 6 tbsp of yogurt 5 tbsp of milk (we ran out of milk so I subsituted it with my soya milk) 5 tbsp of margarine 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp vanilla essence Method: 1. Preheat the oven to gas mark 4 2. Mix all the ingredients altogether into a smooth mixture. 3. Grease a 8" by 8" tin with a bit of margarine and pour the mixture into it. 4... more |

I obtained this recipe from the book Barbeques & Sizzlers by Tarla Dalal, but the recipe needed crushed walnuts and since I have none at home I subsituted it with desiccated coconut instead. Glad to say it turned out good, yummy, sweet but not too sickly with a hint of coconut. Easy to make just throw everything into the bowl, mix, pour and bake. I made these brownies for a party recently and they were scoffed within seconds! (and I'm not the most ifted of chefs!). What you will need for the brownies 1/2 of a cup of butter 2oz chocolate 2 eggs 3/4 of a cup of sugar 1/2 of a cup of flour 1/2 cup pecans, chopped 1/4 cup amaretto (I usually put in a little bit more than this, although not too much because it will ruin the consistency. What you will need for the frosting 3 tbsp of butter 1 1/2 cup sugar 4 1/2 tsp amaretto 4 1/2 tsp cocoa butter 4 1/2 tsp hot coffee (not decaf) What you need to do ... Read the complete review

I have never been able to re-create those original brownies despite trying many different recepies! Brownies are incredibly easy to make and will last for quite a while. They are great to take to work as a mid lunch snack with your cup of tea! They are also probably cheaper than buying them in a supermarket and anyway homemade brownies always taste better than shop bought ones!! I have quite a few different brownie receipes that I have picked up over the last few years so it was hard to choose which ones I would be reviewing! But I've picked two ... Read the complete review

My husband was brought up in a house where his mother baked dozens of traybakes and cakes and made her own jam and marmalade, so quite obviously he thinks that buns or jam that are shop bought 'never taste as good', and I have to say that I agree for the most part. However because of his mother's baking, he has a very large sweet tooth, and craves all things sugary. I on the other hand prefer savoury. Nonetheless, since I got married I have been having a try at baking, and so far so good, which keeps hubby happy as well, and the lunchbox full. This is a recipe that I tried for hazelnut chocolate brownies, and it was very easy to make. So much ... Read the complete review

This has got to be one of the best brownie recipes in the world! You are supposed to have the brownies warm with a warm baileys sauce but you can also have them cold without the bailey's sauce aswell. So ingredients include: 100g butter, chopped 100 dark chocolate, broken into pieces (I use Lindt - good quality) 2 eggs 175g caster sugar 25g cocoa powder 50g plain flour 25g milk chocolate, broken into pieces 75g white chocolate, broken into pieces handful mini marshmallows, quatered (I actually half them) 75ml baileys liquer So the recipe is: (Serves 4) 1.)Turn the oven to fan ...
