Advantages: Cheesy and gorgeous

Disadvantages: None

I love a good comforting meal in the evening and for me you cant get more comforting than something containing cheese.

One of my favourite cheesy meals is cauliflower cheese, it's simple and easy to make and is always a crowd pleaser, well at least it goes down well with my other half.

I like to add a little twist to my cauliflower cheese and add pasta to it. I make things easy for myself by using packets of Batchelors pasta and sauce, they make a cauliflower cheese flavoured one which is perfect for this.

Ingredients -
A hold head of cauliflower
A packet of cauliflower & cheese flavour pasta and sauce
A little milk
Butter
Cheese
Salt and pepper

Recipe -
Break the cauliflower into pieces, making sure they're not too small and boil them for 4-5 minutes.

Meanwhile make up the pasta & sauce according to the packet instructions and keep warm.

Once the cauliflower is ready add to a large casserole dish and pour the pasta sauce mixture over. Season well with salt and pepper, stir in a little milk and butter then top it off with plenty of grated cheese

Bake in the oven (200c/gas mark 5) for 20 minutes or until the cheese is golden and bubbling.

I like to serve this with mashed potato on the side. It's creamy and comforting and wonderful on a cold weekend evening.

Summary: Get cooking

Think I might try this. I love cauliflower cheese but would never have thought of doing this.
