Coconut Balls (Confectionery)
Member Name: yorksbabe
Advantages: Easy and yummy Disadvantages: Messy hands this is my recipe for coconut balls which is quite like home made bounty bars. Take 190 grams of condensed milk and put in to a pan and warm through on a low flame. Take the pan of the heat and mix in 225 grams of dessicated coconut. Add 125 grams of icing sugar and give it all a good stir to make it is mixed together. At this stage you can either roll into little balls of which ever size you want and put onto trays to cool, or you can press down into a greased and lined 7" square tin then cut up into rectangles when cool. Melt some chocolate in a pan,( you can use white, milk, or plain ) and when the coconut mix is cool you can then coat it in the melted chocolate and then leave them to set. These are yummy and are great wrapped up for presents. Summary: Very Moreish |
