Advantages: Makes you more aware of what you buy

Disadvantages: Feel like your not eating as well

Now i must stress tht this is only my opinion, and it may not be too helpful as i dont shop to a budget usually, i just see what it comes too, yet i do take an interest in what i buy, so it may be helpful.

Surely the first thing to think is you want a large quantity, for a low price, which is understandable, so the things which are low price yet you get alot of, and would constitue a good meal, are thngs like vegetables, pasta, rice, bread, etc.

However, you still ant to make sure you are getting good quality food, so go and buy your fresh vegetables, theyre better priced than frozen packaged ones anyway, and buy bulk in wholegrain pasta and rice, they dont go off.

Another point i would like to make is that you should look at the portions of food on your plate, as the majority of the time we eat far too much, a plate isnt that size as you have to fill it all up.

Its something the majority of us do, including me most of the time, and you get a bit ful, and you push yourself to eat the rest, or leave it, why not just have smaller portions. It is not a big coincedence we all tend to be over weight, we dont all have glandular problems, we eat too much, and we eat rubbish foods, as we think theyre cheaper, when allthough buying spices, etc may be a big purchase, they last along time and they are worth it.

Make the bulk of your meal veg, which is cheap and you will easily cut your food bill down without eating rubbish.

Despite saying this, in what reads as a "high horse manner" i must admit i hate vegatables, and am not brilliant at doing this myself, BUT DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO!

Summary: Eat more veg - maybe
