I love cornflake cakes and they are very simple to make, they are ideal for making with young children as you dont need to use an oven to bake then so they can help out with making them mnore than with other cakes.

I always use cadburys milk chocolate to make my cornflake cakes as using a cheaper brand doesnt taste the same,

I melt the chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan of hot water then mix in the cornflakes, I also like to add things to this to make them extra special, just as the chocolate is starting to cool off you can add chocolate chips for a double chocolate cornflake cake, smarties for a little colour or marsh mellows to give a different texture to the cornflake cake.

You do need to leave them in the fridge quite a while to set and this is the hard part for me as I am so anxious to eat them,

You can also adapt this for rice crispies aswell.

Summary: a great cake, easy to make
