Advantages: Delicious, holds together (cakes arent gooey), very cheap to make

Disadvantages: Cleaning the pan after!

Now I know that this recipe is successful. I make these every week for the tea shop I work for and they all sell and customers like them very much! Can be made in 10 minutes.

I've used many cornflake cake recipes in the past and this has got to be the best one.

Ingredients include
200g milk chocolate
150g cornflakes
100g unsalted butter (not margerine as this doesn't hold the cakes together)
4 tbsp golden syrup

So all you need to do is melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup in a saucepan. Not over simmering water, put the ingredients straight into a saucepan and melt over a low heat. Once this is all melted take of the heat and stir in the cornflakes.
I make large cornflake cakes, so spoon the mixture into about 8 muffin cases and tranfer to a fridge to set.

You can make small cakes by using normal cake cases if you prefer.

In my opinion, you don't need good quality chocolate or butter, or even cornflakes!! I use Morrisons own chocolate and cornflakes and Aldi's butter. I do use Lyles golden syrup however as cheaper versions of this don't taste the same!

So try it out, and enjoy!!

Summary: A very delicious treat, for kids or adults! Easy and cheap to make!

Sound lovely - trouble is I have to make twice the amount because we can't resist the mix while it is still warm.
