Advantages: Its quick and simple, and you can change the recipe for any occasion.

Disadvantages: you can never get enough of it!

Its a great little dessert that can easily be adapted from a childrens birthday party pudding, to a christmas time treat

Ingredients

1 packet of cookies ("Maryland" cookies work well)
Whipping cream
Chocolate ice cream syrup
Large block milk chocolate (cooking chocolate works best)


Firstly whip your cream until it forms nice strudy peaks, then put to one side. Then pour out some of the chocloate syrup on a plate, dip one side of a cookie into the chocolate syrup and then on top of the chocolate side of the cookie a tablespoon full of whipped cream. Then dip another cookie into the chocolate syrup. Put the dry side parralell on top of the original cookie and whipped cream structure and then put another tablespoon of cream on the chocolate coated side. repeat this process untill you have created a long horazontal cylinder of the cookie structure around 30 cookies long, ending with a dry cookie. then put in the fridge for about 1 hour.

Put a pan of hot water on the stove simmering slowly place a heat proof bowl on top of the pan. Break up the chocolate bar and place in the chocolate pieces in the bowl. wait until runny then pour over your cookie structure then wait for it to cool the place it in the fridge for another hour. After this you will be able to serve a delicious pudding perfect for a party. Try it with Vanilla ice cream its amazing.

For a more sophisticated verision replace the chocolate syrup with sherry and the milk choclate for whits choclate! this is my personal favouite verion, but the alocholic flavouring may not suit everybody.
