Advantages: very tasty, a very fragrant dish

Disadvantages: lots of ingredients

This lamb curry is very spicy and has a lot of spices, most of them are easily available in tescos. If one or two are missing ,dont worry it will still turn out to be great.
This recipe is for 4 servings-

Ingredients:

*1/2 kg lamb, cleaned and cubed- like for stew
*4 potatoes, peeled and cut into halves
*3 tomatoes, chopped
*2 onions, chopped
*8 cloves
*3 red chillies
*1/2 coconut grated or 3 tbsps of desiccated coconut
*3 tablespoons oil
*1 cup coriander leaves
*1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
*1 teaspoon turmeric powder
*1 teaspoon poppy seeds
*1 teaspoon coriander seeds
*1 teaspoon fennel seeds
salt to taste

Method:

*Marinate the lamb in the salt, turmeric, and the ginger-garlic paste for an hour.
*Roast the cloves, peppercorns, poppy seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds and red chillies in a little oil till brown and fragrant.
*Add onions and stir till they are golden brown.
*Add coconut and tomatoes and stir well.
*Cool and Grind to a paste.
*Heat remaining oil in a pressure cooker and add meat and potatoes.
*Stir fry till brown.
*Add the ground spices paste.
*Add water and cook for 1 whistle and simmer for 7 minutes or till meat is soft. *Release pressure and serve hot garnishing with Coriander leaves.

If you dont have a pressure cooker just cook them slowly in a deeppan with lid but cook it for longer. It does take a long time to make it but is very tasty.
It is best served with rice or naan bread

Enjoy.

Summary: You will love this lamb curry.
