This is a dish that I find extremely easy to make. Preparation time and cooking time together amount to about 40 minutes. Ingredients 3 tsp of olive oil 4 green chillies 2 chopped tomatoes Red chillies Salt 2lb mince meat Parsley Tin of processes peas Nan breads Natural yoghurt METHOD First, put some oil in a pan, wait until it warms and add the green chillies. Wait for about 2 minutes until they go red, add the chopped tomatoes into the pan. Stir until the tomatoes melt into the pan. Then add red chillies. ½ tsp will be enough but of course feel free to add less if you don?t want the mixture to be to hot. Add ½ of salt. Stir and leave for about a minute or so. Second, add the mince meat in. Stir often occasionally adding some water. Stir until the mince meat goes soft, (which taken about 10-14minutes) you can check by putting some on a spoon an squeezing it. This will tell you if it?s ready or not. Thirdly, when it?s ready add the tin of peas, add one glass of water and put the lid on the pan. Leave for ten minutes to simmer. When, the water dries the mince meat will be ready. Warm your Nan bread up in the grill. You can buy Nan breads from most supermarkets. Put the mince meat either on top of the Nan bread or on a separate bowl. Serve with a side salad. It tastes really nice and the good thing is that if you make to much you can put it in a container and heat up later on and it tastes just as good. You can buy red chillies from supermarkets but you do not have to add them if you do not want them. Other herbs and spices will do.

- 14/03/02 Good stuff (I'm an avowed carnivore!) I like it a bit spicey. Just please add a word of warning into the op about handling chillies - they can be deadly if you touch your face / eyes after handling them!! |
