Disadvantages: Full of fatty butter.

For years I would buy a jar of honey and mustard sauce to have with our chicken breasts until I discovered this recipe. It's much more vibrant and tasty than the jar and we usually have it about once or twice a week. It doesn't take much thought or preparation but is dead tasty and it probably works out much cheaper than buying the jars.

Honey and mustard chicken.

You'll need:
5 tablespoons of Butter
4 tablespoons of Mustard
Teaspoon of Honey
Teaspoon of Paprika
Chicken breast or chicken pieces
Brown or white rice (I small cup per person)

How to make:

1) Melt the butter in the microwave.
2) Add the mustard and stir into the butter.
3) Add the honey and stir and then the paprika
4) Put the breasts into a baking tray and pour on the mixture
5) Put the rice on.
6) Cook in the oven for around half hour at gas mark 4/180'C

Serve on a bed of rice pouring the mixture over the top.

I would suggest that you check the dish every ten minutes or so because the edge of the mixture can burn so it needs stirring every now and again.

This dish is great served with homemade (kind of!) garlic bread:

1) Buy a tinned loaf from the supermarket
2) Mix four cloves of garlic with 5 tablespoons of butter in a bowl.
3) Cut the bread into thick wedges.
4) Spread the garlic butter onto the bread very thickly.
5) Toast under a grill until the butter has melted and serve immediately.

This is a quick and easy meal to make and goes down well with all the family.
