Lovely Lasagne (Rice & Pasta Dishes)

Serves 2 large portions 3 smaller portions

350g Lean Steak Mince
3 cloves garlic
400g (1 tin) chopped tomatoes
3 slices of streaky bacon sliced
1 Onion- finely chopped
1 carrot grated
3 tbsp tomato puree
1 tbsp Worcester sauce
125g Mozzarella roughly grated
3 tbsp parmesan flakes
9 (approx) lasagne sheets
Ground black pepper for seasoning

White Sauce
350ml of milk
20g plain flour
40g butter
Salt and pepper

OR
Instant packet white sauce

1)Finely chop garlic and onions and fry in pan for 2 minutes.
2)Add mince beef and grated carrots to pan and fry for a further 10 minutes until meat has browned.
3)Add 1 tbsp of Worcester sauce to the pan and the chopped streaky bacon and fry for a further 3 minutes
4)Add chopped tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
5)Add the tomato puree to the mixture and simmer for a further 5 minutes.
6)If you are making your own white sauce. Put the milk in a saucepan, then add the flour and butter and bring everything gradually up to simmering point, whisk continuously until the sauce has thickened and becomes smooth and glossy. Simmer for 5 minutes.
7)If you are using packet white sauce mix as directed and you should end up with approx 300ml of sauce.
8)Use an ovenproof dish approx 9 inches by 6 inches. Put a layer of mince mixture about 1 inch thick into dish and spread evenly. Cover with lasagne sheets breaking sheets if necessary.
9)Cover lasagne sheets with a very thin layer of white sauce.
10)Follow previous step to create another 2 layers of mince filling.
11)Cover the last layer of mince with lasagne sheets. Pour on a thick layer of white sauce
12)Sprinkle on evenly parmesan flakes onto the white sauce along with the grated Mozzarella
13)Cook in oven at 200C for 20- 30 minutes
14)Serve with salad or home cooked chips!

I can't stand mozzarella, has no taste and hundreds of calories! Sounds yum though.
