Advantages: tasty, filling

Disadvantages: cant stop eating

I love sweetcorn chicken soup in the chinese restaurants and always order one when i go. I make sweetcorn and chicken soup at home although it doesnt taste exactly like in the chinese restaurants but it has a taste of its own.

Recipe for 4 people-
1 small tin of sweetcorn 200 grams
1 tin of creamed style sweetcorn 418 gms(tescos sell green giant make)
1 boiled chicken breast- shredded
1 egg- beaten
1/4 tsp soya sauce
1 glass veg/chicken stock 500ml
cornflour starch
salt and pepper

Instructions-
In a saucepan, add both sweetcorns, chicken and stock. Boil and add soya sauce, salt and pepper. Add more water if needed. the soup tends to get slightly thicker if left for a while. Once all are mixed add cornflour starch. Add egg either through a course/wide holed strainer or very slowly in small strings. Once egg cooks (2mins) serve it hot garnished with coriander and crushed pepper.

You could add grated acrrot with chopped beans without the egg for vegeterain option.

This can be had even with a slice for bread for light dinner. Very tasty and filling. It turns out very cheap making it at home instaed for oredring in restaurant for £2.50-£3.

Summary: very tasty and healthy
