In order to alleviate the pressure, I have a rule that I either prepare a cold plate for starters or make a soup which can cooked days in advance and most of which can be frozen. If I decide to make soup, I make sure that it's a light one. I don't want my guests filling up on their starter and not being able to eat the remaining courses. Here are a couple of my starters that I make a lot, one soup and one cold plate. They are quick and easy to prepare and have been enjoyed by many. I've also mentioned a couple of good ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review ,¸¸,ø¤º°`° Quick and Easy Winter Squash Soup. `°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º (666 words)

If you want to cook something that will really impress guests or become a family favourite, you can't go far wrong with this. This is an incredibly easy to make starter, which I've often served up as a light meal. This warming, tasty soup is brilliant with home-made bread or shop bought rolls and butter. ...  Read the complete review
