Advantages: It's Yummy

Disadvantages: It's not for those on a diet

This review is for a starter/side dish, although there have been times I've just eaten on its own when I can't be bothered to cook a "proper" meal!

Basically it's a quick and easy spicy twist on garlic bread.

You will need:

Ingredients:
Butter
Very Lazy Chillies (Jar of ready chopped red chillies can be found in spice aisle of supermarkets, lasts at least a month)
Garlic (optional)
Cheese
Part Baked Baguettes (can be found in most supermarkets)

Equipment:
Oven tray
Sharp Knife
Butter knife
Microwavable bowl
Spoon (see how simple it is!)

Slice your part baked baguettes in half. Melt some butter in a bowl in the microwave for around 20 seconds. Mix in spoon of chilli (and garlic if you like - it's great with and without), adjust amount according to personal taste. Spread onto baguettes and top generously with cheese (this isn't for those on a diet!)

Place on oven tray and bake according to baguette instructions and until cheese is bubbly and golden in places.

Try to let it cool to avoid burning your mouth and then tuck in and enjoy!

Great with pasta or salad.

If you want to bulk it up as a more substantial starter its great with some sliced cooked mushrooms under the cheese. Yum!

Would also make a great party food if you sliced into small(ish!) portions.

Summary: Great quick side dish/starter
